Application: Fancy text, fonts & keyboard

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use Fancy text, fonts & keyboard (the “App”), a custom keyboard and font constructor for iOS and iPadOS. It applies to both the main application and the keyboard extension.
In short: we never collect the text you type. Predictive typing data stays on your device. We collect anonymous usage statistics and host only the fonts and sets you choose to publish.
As a keyboard application, this is our most important commitment. We do not collect, transmit, log, or store the text you type — in any app, at any time. This includes messages, passwords, search queries, payment card numbers, and any other content entered using our keyboard.
The App does not require “Full Access” for its core functionality. If a feature requiring Full Access is offered, the App explains what it is used for before you enable it, and enabling it is always optional. Even with Full Access enabled, we do not send your keystrokes or typed content to our servers or to any third party.
The App includes a predictive text engine that learns from your typing patterns (character and word pairs) entirely on your device. This data is stored in the App’s local container, is never uploaded to our servers, and is never shared with third parties. It is deleted when you delete the App.

If you select the Make Private option when creating a font, modifier, or set, that content is stored strictly on your device and is never uploaded to our servers. Because it never reaches us, we cannot restore it if you delete the App or reset your device.
All subscriptions are purchased and processed by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment card details, billing address, or Apple Account credentials. Apple’s handling of your payment data is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy.
We do not use your data for advertising, we do not sell or share personal information with data brokers, and we do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. The App does not request permission under App Tracking Transparency because it does not track you.
We use a limited number of service providers to operate the App. They process data only on our instructions and only for the purposes described above:
Where the GDPR applies, we process data on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and improving the App, and on the basis of contract performance for subscription and support functions. Anonymous usage statistics are retained in aggregated form; published content is retained until you delete it; support correspondence is retained for up to 12 months.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the data we hold about you, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Because the App does not require an account, most data we hold is anonymous and cannot be linked back to you. You can, however:
The App is rated 4+ and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Published content is subject to moderation as described in our Terms of Use. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, to protect data stored on our servers against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our service providers may process data on servers located outside your country of residence. Where required, such transfers are made under appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, through a notice in the App.
